Back in 2017 this meme reached peaks virality as this intentionally poor rendition of the popular SEGA character Knuckles the Echidna spread from the popular game / chat-room  'VR Chat' into wider internet and meme culture. To compliment the appeal of the meme, I created a Snapchat filter where users could literally take the character from the confines of the internet and spread the character's viral nature into the real world using the AR capabilities of their smartphone.
